HIV Testing and Counseling

CAL-PEP provides Rapid HIV Testing using the OraQuick Rapid HIV-1 Antibody Test. Rapid HIV Testing is administered both in the CAL-PEP office and on our mobile units at various locations in the community.

Case Management

Comprehensive Risk Counseling and Services (CRCS)

Comprehensive Risk Counseling and Services (CRCS), more commonly referred to as just Case Management, is a counseling service that is available to individuals who are infected with HIV. During counseling sessions, counselors address risk behavior and risk reduction with each participant in order to educate and prevent transmission of HIV.

Outreach and Prevention Education

CAL-PEP performs outreach, prevention and education activities in streets and alleyways, in single-resident occupancy (SROs) hotels, homeless shelters, crack houses, drug recovery homes, in our mobile units, and at partner and collaboration agencies throughout the Bay Area. We encourage all individuals to bring their partners to be tested with us as well!

Growth Spot Drop-In Center (G-Spot)

The Growth Spot Drop-In Center is a comprehensive youth outreach program that provides substance abuse prevention and HIV prevention to adolescent African American sexual minorities in Alameda County. The program targets African American youth between the ages of 12
