Volunteer/Internship Opportunities:

CAL-PEP is always looking for doctors, lawyers, accountants, dedicated community advocates of all ethnicities, orientations and identities, and new members for our Board of Directors. If you are an interested party, please do not hesitate to contact us at the address below.

As a non-profit organization, CAL-PEP is always looking for volunteers. If you are a student looking for an internship or field study, please do not hesitate to send a resume with cover letter to the address listed below.

Qualities and skills sought are as follows:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Work projects as assigned
2. Communicate orally with a diverse population.
3. Assist with website maintenance regarding content change.
4. Ability to work on multiple tasks with accuracy.
5. Knowledge of written communication formats. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Power Point and SPSS.
6. Sensitivity to the HIV/AIDS population. Skill in working with people from diverse backgrounds such as people of color, gay men, lesbians, transgender populations, the homeless, the undocumented, and the dual diagnosed.
7. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
8. Ability to maintain schedules.

Volunteer job tasks may include but are not limited to:

1. Answering CAL-PEP’s telephones
2. Assist with scheduling
3. Sort and deliver mail and maintain filing
4. Outreach field work
5. Assist with coordinating and producing flyers for outreach and promotion
